About Us

We're serious about building the kind of community we'd all want to be a part of. We strive to personally live out the values of the Honors Program and support others to do the same.

Our program proudly continues a long-standing tradition of providing serious and highly motivated ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs with a unique set of intellectual and educational opportunities.

Our Mission

The ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Honors Program invites undergraduate ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs from all backgrounds and across all chosen fields of study to commit to academic excellence and intellectual exploration. To support and challenge ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs in this commitment, we collaborate with faculty and staff across the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ to augment standard curricula with opportunities for experiential learning, effective expression, substantive discourse, and both personal and interpersonal growth. Honors ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs and faculty engage in the open, constructive exchange of ideas, and leverage these ideas toward personally meaningful participation in their disciplines and communities.

Our Vision

Looking ahead, the intention of the UL Honors Program is to mature into the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ’s first Honors College, serving ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs with a level of autonomy, resource allocation, and cultural distinction comparable to other Honors Colleges in the Southern United States. As we evolve, we aim to increasingly situate Honors as part of what inspires prospective ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs to become Ragin’ Cajuns.
