Dear campus community,

The regular session of the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ Legislature adjourned on Monday, and I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the confidence our state leaders have placed in the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ of ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ at Lafayette and, most importantly, their investment into our ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs.

This session, legislators approved funding in the next fiscal year for ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ operations and ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ success initiatives while advancing significant investments in academic facilities and research infrastructure on our campus.

I am especially grateful to Governor Landry’s administration, the Acadiana Legislative Delegation and legislative leadership across the state whose advocacy and partnership helped make these investments in our ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs and into ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ’s future economy possible.

We have important work ahead, but the conclusion of a successful legislative session gives us an opportunity to recognize our allies, celebrate progress and remain focused on what matters most: ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ success.

Thank you for everything you do for this ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ and for our ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs.
