Two ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ of ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ at Lafayette seniors' sales pitch earned them a top-10 spot in national competition last weekend.
Jessica Clark, who is majoring in public relations, and Megan Martin, a marketing major, competed in the National Collegiate Sales Competition. They finished fourth among teams representing 65 universities. Dr. Duleep Delpechitre, a UL Lafayette professor of marketing, is the team's coach.
The annual contest, which was held at Kennesaw State ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ in Kennesaw, Ga., is one of the oldest business-school competitions.
The ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ of Wisconsin-Eau Claire took first place. Kennesaw State ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ and the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ of Central Florida took second and third place, respectively. UL Lafayette was one of three ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ schools that participated, including Nicholls State ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ and ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ State ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ.
