Members of the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ of ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ at Lafayette ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµ Government Association and the UL Lafayette Alumni Association recently delivered a check of more than $1,000 to the United Way of Acadiana for its hurricane relief fund.

Monetary donations and school supplies were collected on Sept. 8 from ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµs, faculty and staff members as well as members of the community. More than 30 boxes of notebooks, pencils, folders, ink pens, rulers, school bags, crayons, markers and other supplies were delivered to the Lafayette Parish School Board for ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµs displaced by the recent hurricanes.

In addition to collecting school supplies, donations were received for the United Way and the Red Cross foundations. The ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓÆµs raised more than $2,000 to go towards the two organizations’ Katrina relief funds.
