Registration Continuing for Academic Enrichment Program

Published

Do you want your children busy this summer? Then you’ll want to take advantage of the Academic Enrichment Program (AEP) offered by the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ of ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ at Lafayette's Center for Gifted Education. Registration recently started but many classes are still open.

The Academic Enrichment Program serves ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs currently in kindergarten through grade 8. There will be two afternoon sessions (June 11-21 and July 9-19) offered this summer, and ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs may choose from a variety of academic and arts courses.

Qualified ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs schedule classes designed for high-ability ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs at their respective grade levels. To qualify for the Academic Enrichment Program, a ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ must present satisfactory scores on a standardized test of mental ability or academic achievement or be recommended by his/her classroom teacher. ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵs who are classified as academically gifted by state standards automatically qualify.
