A native of Arizona, Dan Burkett was trained in architecture, receiving a B.S.D. at Arizona State ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ and a Master of Architecture at Rice ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ in Houston Texas. Dan currently lives in Lafayette, ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ, where he practices as a designer and maker and is a Master Instructor at the ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ of ÑÇÖÞ×ÔοÊÓƵ at Lafayette School of Architecture and Design. As an educator and designer, Dan is interested in reconceptualizing common practices of materials in design and how systems thinking as a design and research/teaching strategy can lead to more responsive and responsible design.
